Royal Plastic

Our shop is at Shop No.1, New Market Sarai Mill in the Rani Ki Sarai area. This is part of Muhammadullah, and it is a place where everyone knows everyone else. Being in the New Market means there is always noise from the other shops and people walking around looking for deals. We have been here at Royal Plastic for a good amount of time. The building is old and has a lot of character, maybe too much sometimes when the roof leaks a little during the heavy rains. We sell various plastic goods, and they are piled up pretty high in the back. The floor is concrete and we sweep it every morning, but the dust always finds its way back in. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights to attract people. Usually, someone just walks in because they need something specific for their house or farm. The Sarai Mill area is quite busy, especially on market days. We sit on plastic stools behind the counter and wait for the sun to go down so we can close up and go home. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a local shop providing things that people use every day. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and part of the local community here in Rani Ki Sarai. Every day is pretty much the same and we like it that way.
