H L Trading Company

We’ve been here in New Market for quite a while now. H L Trading Company is just a small spot where we handle all sorts of supplies for the local area. Naroli gets busy in the mornings, and that is usually when the trucks start coming in. It’s a lot of manual work, checking boxes and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, especially when it rains hard, but we manage. Most of the people around here know us by name. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the desk and the storage area. People drop by mostly to talk about their orders or just to see what came in today. It can get a bit dusty with all the movement, but that is part of the job. My father started things out here and I just kept it going. We don’t really do much advertising because everyone knows where the shop is. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expect, and then we have to wait for the next delivery from the city. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk. You’ll find us there from early morning until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. We keep a pot of tea going most of the time and anyone who comes in is welcome to a cup.
