Yash Kirana Supar Shoppe

You'll find our shop out on the Parbhani Road in Palam. We are pretty close to the New Mada Farm, so it’s a bit of a landmark for us. It’s a regular kirana store, though we call it a super shoppe because we try to keep a bit of everything. We have bags of grain stacked up in the back and shelves full of biscuits and spices. The morning starts early when the milk arrives, and it stays steady until we close up at night. Being on the main road means we get people passing through as well as the locals from Palam. It’s a dusty spot, especially when the tractors go by heading towards the farms. We have a small counter where we weigh things out for customers. My nephew helps me out on the weekends when it gets busy. We don't have fancy lights or air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a straightforward business. We know what people in this area need, and we do our best to have it ready. Sometimes we run out of change, and we have to ask the neighbor shops for help. It’s a friendly enough place to work. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more. It feels like home being surrounded by all these familiar faces every day.
