Waheed General Store

This store is located on Station Road in the Abrar Colony area of Aurangabad. It is a busy spot because of the trains and all the people moving back and forth. I keep a bit of everything here, from soaps and shampoos to basic kitchen supplies. My day usually starts with the sound of the shutters rolling up, which is a bit loud and wakes up the neighborhood. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes I have trouble finding where I put the smaller items like matchboxes or needles. It is a bit messy, but I know where everything is. The floor is made of plain cement and it shows the wear of many years. I don't have any staff, so I do everything myself, from unloading the crates to sweeping the front step. People from the colony come in to buy their daily necessities and often stay to talk about the local news or the weather. Aurangabad can get very hot, so I try to keep the shop as cool as possible with a small ceiling fan that wobbles a bit. I don't use any fancy systems for billing, just a simple calculator and my notebook. It is a honest way to earn a living, even if it means standing on my feet for ten hours a day. I try to be helpful when someone is looking for something specific.
