Srinath Kirana Store

I usually get to B Street pretty early before the Shivaji Nagar sun gets too hot. Srinath Kirana Store is just a small place but we keep it going day after day. Being near Moraya Magal Karalay means we see plenty of people from the weddings sometimes. Aurangabad is getting busier these days and you can hear the bikes out on the road all day long. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the bags of stuff. There is a lot to do like putting things back on the shelves and checking what we ran out of yesterday. The address is 431005 if you look it up on a map. It isn't a fancy shop with glass doors or big signs but it works for us. I have been here for a while and the walls could probably use some new paint but that takes time. People just come in for what they need and talk about the weather or whatever is happening in the neighborhood. Sometimes the kids from the houses nearby come in for a small bit of something. The street outside is narrow so everyone has to be careful with their scooters. I just sit behind the counter and wait for the next person to walk in. It gets quiet in the afternoons when it is very hot. Then in the evening it picks up again. We just try to keep the things people want like pulses and oil. It’s just a normal part of Shivaji Nagar life for me.
