Sri Sai Cement Store

You can find us in Village Padariya, right near the primary school. It’s easy to spot because the kids are usually playing nearby during their breaks. We’re close to the Mela Post Office too. Our store is a simple place where we sell cement to the local folks. Most of our customers are neighbors or people from the surrounding villages who are building a small wall or maybe fixing their roof. It’s a dusty job, and the bags are heavy, so it keeps us in shape whether we like it or not. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. Just a door that stays open most of the day and a small desk where we keep our books. The pace of life here in Padariya is a bit slower, and we like it that way. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. Sometimes we spend more time talking about the weather or the crops than we do about the cement. When the delivery truck comes, it’s a bit of a rush to get everything stored away before the dust settles. It’s just a local shop trying to provide what people need for their homes. We don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s just me and a helper most days, making sure the inventory is okay and the customers are satisfied with what they bought. It gets quiet in the evening.
