Shubham Provision

Our shop is tucked away on Gajanan Colony Road in the Garkheda area. It’s a residential spot, so most of the people who come in are the same families I’ve seen for years. I started Shubham Provision because I wanted to work for myself and this spot in Aurangabad seemed as good as any. The mornings are usually the most hectic because everyone realized they ran out of sugar or tea leaves right when they were making breakfast. I try to keep the shelves tidy but with so many small packets of spices and snacks, it’s a bit of a struggle. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but I know exactly where everything is even in the dark. Outside, the kids play on the road in the evenings and the sound of their shouting filters in while I’m tallying up the day’s sales. I don't use any fancy computer systems, just my brain and a calculator. Sometimes the vegetable sellers park their carts right in front and we share some tea. It's a simple arrangement. I make sure to stock the brands that the local ladies prefer for their cooking. If someone asks for something I don't have, I try to get it from the market the next day. It’s just about being there when someone needs a loaf of bread or a packet of detergent. That’s really all there is to it.
