Shri Saptshringi Kirana & General Store

Our kirana store is out on Kannad Road in the Padegaon area of Aurangabad. We are pretty close to the Bombay Market so there is always a lot of activity nearby. Shri Saptshringi Kirana & General Store is where many local families get their monthly supplies. We stock big bags of rice, different types of lentils, and all the usual spices you'd expect. The shop has been here for a while and it has become a bit of a landmark for people living in the colony. It’s a humble place with high shelves that I have to use a ladder to reach sometimes. The floor is made of old tiles and the lighting isn't the brightest but it feels like home to me. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I work. We get our stock from the main market every few days to make sure things are fresh. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be tough since the shop faces the afternoon sun. I have a small fan that helps a bit. Most of my customers are like friends to me now since I've known them for so long. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here and they come when they need something for their kitchen. It’s a steady job that keeps me on my feet all day.
