Shakti Oil Mill (Opc) Private Limited

Our mill is in Naugarh, Aurangabad, Bihar. It’s a small place on the property of Rampati Ram and Videshi Ram. We aren't a big company with fancy offices or anything like that. It’s just us working with the oil machines every day. The smell of the seeds being crushed is very strong and it stays with you. We start our mornings when it’s still quiet in the village. Tola-Naugarh is a peaceful spot, mostly. The roads around Panch-Naugarh are a bit narrow, so getting the trucks in can be a real headache sometimes. We spend a lot of time fixing the equipment or cleaning up after a shift. It’s a dusty job, especially in the dry months. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who grew up around here in Aurangabad. We know the neighbors and they know us. Sometimes people stop by just to chat or see how things are going with the latest batch. We keep the oil in large containers in the back of the shed. There isn't any air conditioning, so we just open the doors wide and hope for a breeze. We don't use a lot of complicated technology or computers. We just look at the oil and know if it’s right. It’s how we were taught. The work is hard on the back, but we are used to it. We finish up when the sun goes down and head home. It’s a simple life.
