Safa General Store

Safa General Store has been part of Abrar Colony for a while. We are right on Station Road, so we see all kinds of people passing by from the Aurangabad station. The shop is mostly full of household goods that people need in a hurry. I have rows of plastic buckets hanging from the ceiling and shelves crowded with spices and detergents. It is not the biggest shop, but I try to keep it organized enough so I can find things quickly when a customer is in a rush. The light inside is a bit dim, but I know the layout by heart. I spend a lot of time talking to the delivery drivers who bring the new stock every few days. We have a lot of regulars from the colony who have been coming here since they were children. It is interesting to see how the neighborhood has changed over the years while the shop stays mostly the same. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the counter, though it often gets cold before I can finish it. My hands are usually busy weighing out sugar or packing flour into smaller bags. The noise from the main road is constant, with rickshaws honking and people shouting, but I have gotten used to it. It is just a normal part of working here every day of the week.
