Mayur Mini Market

We are situated in the Ganesh Heights Complex, right on the road that goes from Nirala Bazar to Paithan Gate. It’s a central part of Aurangabad, and being near the Marathwada Sahitya Parishad Office means there is always something going on nearby. The shop is officially Shop No 2, and it’s been our daily workplace for quite some time. We keep the usual mix of household goods and food items. The morning starts early here because the street gets busy with commuters and students quite fast. We spend a lot of time arranging the packets of chips and the bottles of cold drinks in the front. It gets a bit noisy with the bikes and cars passing by outside, but you get used to it. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a small ladder to get things down for customers. It’s a practical place, no big decorations or anything like that. We just make sure the staples like flour, oil, and spices are always in stock. Sometimes the delivery trucks take a while to find a spot to park on this road, which can be a bit of a headache. But overall, it’s a steady routine. We know most of the people who walk in by name, and that makes the long hours feel a bit shorter when we stop to have a quick chat.
