Majeed General Store

We've been here at Silk Mill Colony on Station Road for a good while now. Majeed General Store is just a small place, really. Most mornings start early, getting the shutters up before the sun gets too hot here in Aurangabad. People stop by for all sorts of things, maybe a pack of biscuits or some soap they forgot to buy earlier. It’s a busy spot near the station, so there is always someone walking past. We try to keep the shelves stocked with what people actually need every day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when the school kids come by for snacks, but that is just how it goes. The shop isn't fancy. It has basic shelves and a counter that has seen better days, honestly. We know most of the people who live around here by name. Dealing with the distributors is probably the hardest part, making sure the milk arrives on time and the bread is fresh. Aurangabad-Maharashtra can be quite dusty, so cleaning the front is a never-ending job. We just keep going, day after day. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We don't have a big website or anything, just this physical space where neighbors meet. If you are ever heading towards the station, you will probably see us right there. It is just a normal store for normal folks who need their daily supplies without any fuss. We close up when it gets dark and start again tomorrow morning early.
