Lotake Tea Company

Lotake Tea Company is based at Area No 20, Ho.No.-1675. We’re in Jawahar Nagar, right near the Jawahar School. You can hear the kids during recess if the windows are open. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s pretty relaxed around here. We’ve been in this house for quite some time. It’s not an office building, just our place of work. We use the front rooms for the tea business. There are sacks of tea everywhere. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow streets in Jawahar Nagar. We just help them unload and get things inside. It’s a family-run thing. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just sell tea to whoever needs it. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk. Other days we are packing things up until late at night. The house has a bit of a garden in the back where we take our breaks. It’s a simple life. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just know our tea and we know our neighbors. The school is a good landmark for people coming to see us for the first time. It’s just a regular house in a regular neighborhood. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy. You just knock on the door and we’ll be there. It’s been our way for years.
