We are set up in the Mondha Market Yard, right across from where the HP Gas place is. J P Iron Depot Co. is basically a big warehouse and a yard full of heavy metal. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the sound of iron rods clanging against each other or the crane moving things around. It’s a loud place to work and your hands are always dirty from the rust and the oil. Being in the Market Yard means there are always tractors and trucks moving around, so it’s never really peaceful. We spend a lot of our time just weighing things out and making sure the loading is done right so the trucks don't tip. It is a simple operation with a small office where we keep the books and drink tea when there is a break. We have been in this spot for quite a while, watching the market change around us. The HP Gas tankers are always coming and going across the street, which makes the road pretty busy. It’s not the kind of job you do if you want to stay clean, but it keeps us going. Most people who come here are regular customers who have been buying from us for years. We don't do much in the way of selling ourselves; we just open up in the morning and wait to see what the day brings in the Market Yard.
