Ganesh Ganeral Store is right here on Satara Road in Aurangabad. We’ve been sitting on this corner of the Main Road for a long time now. Most people around Satara Aurangabad know where to find us when they run out of milk or need a packet of biscuits suddenly. The shop isn't fancy or anything like those big supermarkets you see in the city center. It’s just a regular place with shelves packed with stuff people actually use every day. We open up early in the morning, usually before the sun gets too hot, and stay until late evening when the street gets quiet. Sometimes the stock arrives late and there are boxes everywhere, but we manage to get things on the shelves eventually. The fans hum all day and it gets a bit dusty because of the traffic on the Main Road, but that’s just how it is. We know most of our customers by name because they live just a few streets away. If someone needs a specific brand of tea or a certain type of washing soap, they usually tell us and we try to keep it in the back for them. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, from the small candies to the big sacks of grain, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure the counter is covered and the change is ready for whoever walks in.
