Eklavya Science Institute

Eklavya Science Institute is located at Plot No 9 Bodhi, which is right opposite the Milind College Stadium in Chawani. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you are coming through Laxmi Colony in Aurangabad. The building is simple, and we have set up the classrooms to handle the science subjects that the older students usually find difficult. Maharashtra 431002 is where we have been for some time, and being near the stadium means there is always something happening outside, though we try to keep the windows shut so the students can hear me talk. I spend most of my day at the institute, usually getting there early to set up the lab equipment or fix the chairs. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some charts and the periodic table because that is what matters for the lessons. Science is a tough subject for many, and I see a lot of students coming in looking quite worried about their future exams. I try to break things down into smaller parts so it doesn't seem so scary to them. It is a lot of writing on the board and going over the same experiments until they get the results right. The local kids from the Chawani area come here after their regular college hours, so we are often open until quite late in the evening. It’s just a regular place where we focus on the work that needs doing every single day.
