Eagle General Store

Running Eagle General Store on Station Road keeps us on our toes. Being in Sadat Nagar means we get everyone from travelers to locals living nearby. Aurangabad gets really hot in the summer, so the cool floor of the shop feels good. We sell everything from small snacks to bigger household items. It's not a fancy place, just a regular store where you can grab what you forgot to buy. I spend a lot of time dusting the shelves because the road outside gets quite dusty. The buses roar past all day long. Sometimes I sit out front when it’s slow. My father used to say a shop is only as good as its stock, so I try to keep things full. We have rows of lentils, soaps, and those little packets of spices. It’s a lot of work to keep track of everything. I write things down in a big ledger book. Sometimes my handwriting is bad, and I can't read it later. But we get by. The neighbors come in to complain about the heat or the price of onions. I just listen. That's part of the job. It’s a basic business. We don't have big signs or neon lights. Just the name on the board and the door open from morning till late night. I usually close up when the streetlights come on and the traffic finally slows down a bit.
