Classic Provision

Classic Provision is a small grocery and general store located in the Juna Bazar area of Aurangabad. We are right near Nawar Plaza, which is a landmark most people in the city know. Juna Bazar is a very old part of town, so the streets are narrow and always full of people. Our shop fits right into that busy atmosphere. We sell the usual household provisions like rice, dal, oil, and cleaning supplies. The building we are in is quite old, so the ceiling is high but the space is narrow. I’ve worked here for years and I know exactly where every single item is kept, even in the dark. We get our stock delivered early in the morning, and it’s a bit of a struggle to get the sacks through the narrow door. Customers here are mostly neighbors who have lived in Aurangabad Ho for generations. We talk about the weather or the price of onions while I weigh out their orders. I use an old iron scale for some things, though I have a digital one now too. It’s a noisy neighborhood with scooters honking all the time outside. The shop gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a small fan that keeps things moving. We aren't doing anything special, just providing the basics to the folks around Juna Bazar. It’s honest work and it keeps us going day after day.
