Azhar Kirana

Azhar Kirana is located in Khokadpura, right near Safina Masjid here in Aurangabad. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the masjid, so we are easy to find. We run a simple kirana shop where we keep all the regular groceries. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We don’t have fancy displays or expensive branding. Most of our customers are people who live in the nearby streets and come to us because we are close. We spend a lot of our time weighing out grains or pulses and packing them up. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it needs to be done right. The area around Safina Masjid is usually quite busy, especially on Fridays. We have to make sure we have enough stock for the busy times. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls. We just provide a place where you can get your daily items quickly. Sometimes we sit on the wooden bench outside when the shop is quiet. We know the names of many people who come in. It’s a very local way of doing business. We manage the deliveries ourselves and keep an eye on what’s selling. Aurangabad has grown a lot, but Khokadpura still feels like a tight neighborhood. We’re just happy to be here doing our bit every day. It is just a modest shop that serves the people living right around us. We hope to stay here for many more years doing the same.
