Amol Tranding Co. is based out here at Post Pimplewadi, right in the Saileja Nagar area of Tehsil Paithan. It’s a quiet part of the region, and our office is just a small building that we’ve used for years. We aren't a big city firm with fancy suits. It’s mostly just us in our regular clothes handling the local trade. The road outside can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, and we often have to wipe down the desks every morning before we start. We deal with various goods that the people around Paithan need. The business was started by family, and we’ve just kept it running the same way ever since. We have a small warehouse area where we keep the stock. It’s not perfectly organized, but we know where everything is kept. Most of our work involves talking to the local transporters and keeping track of what’s coming in and going out in our old ledger books. The internet connection out here can be a bit spotty sometimes, so we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way. We usually close up early in the evening to head back home. It’s a steady life and we don’t have any plans to change how we do things. We just want to provide what’s needed and keep the business going for another few years. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do.
