Our place is out on Hospeth Galli Road here in Gokak. It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise from trucks and machines nearby. We’ve been at 5612A for quite a few years. Most of the guys working here are from around the neighborhood. We wake up early to get the machines started before it gets too hot in the afternoon. It is mostly metal work and fabrication, though we take on different types of orders depending on what people need. The workshop floor is always a bit dusty, no matter how much we sweep it. We deal with a lot of local contractors who need parts made quickly. It’s not a corporate setup where everyone wears suits. We wear work clothes that get dirty by ten in the morning. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch if the power went out earlier in the day. That happens sometimes in Gokak. We just grab some snacks from the stall down the road and keep going. People know us for being straightforward about what we can do. We don't promise things that aren't possible. It is just a regular shop where we focus on the task at hand. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the grinding sounds from the street. It’s how we make our living and we’ve been doing it a long time. There is usually someone around to help if you have a specific part that needs looking at.
