Supply Syndicate

We’ve been running Supply Syndicate here in Gopalmath, Durgapur for a good while now. It’s a busy part of Paschim Bardhaman, mostly because of all the industries around us. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where we keep the things people need to keep their projects moving. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and checking what stock came in the night before. Sometimes the roads get a bit muddy after the rain, which makes deliveries a bit of a headache, but we manage somehow. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves because you never know what someone is going to walk in and ask for on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling the heavy lifting and the paperwork. We don’t spend much time on computers unless we really have to. Most of our day is spent talking to people who stop by or making sure the inventory isn’t getting too low. Durgapur is a hardworking place, and we just try to fit into that rhythm. The neighbors know us, and we know them. It isn’t about being the biggest name around, it’s just about being there when someone needs a specific part or some material to get a job finished. We’ve had the same sign out front for years, and it’s seen better days, but people find us just fine.
