Carmel Convent High School

We are located in the M A M C area, and it has been our home for quite a while. The school isn't hard to find if you know the neighborhood. It’s a basic setup with classrooms arranged around a central open space. Every morning, you can hear the shuffle of shoes and the sound of students talking as they arrive. We don't have many bells and whistles here. The walls are painted a simple color, and the floors are just plain stone that gets swept every morning. We have a lot of students, so the hallways can get a bit crowded during the change of periods. The teachers use a lot of chalk and talk through their lessons while the students take notes. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. We have a small library where the books are a bit old, but they get read. On hot days, the ceiling fans hum all day long. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our students come from the families living nearby. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are handled properly. The office is always full of ledgers and attendance sheets. It’s just a regular school where people come to learn and then head home when the final bell rings at three. We don't try to be anything but a local school.
