Ramar & Sons Rice Mill

The mill is over here at 1/686, Pagalavan Nagar, Munichalai. We've been running Ramar & Sons Rice Mill for a good while now, mostly just handling the daily grind of processing paddy. It is a noisy place with the machines humming all day long. My father started things off and now we just keep it going as best as we can. Most people around here know where we are. We get the bags in, run them through the hulling and polishing, and then stack them up for the local shops. It gets pretty dusty inside the shed, especially during the harvest months when everyone is bringing their loads in at the same time. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. There is just a small desk where we keep the books and settle the accounts with the farmers and traders who come by. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We try to keep the machinery in decent shape so there aren't too many breakdowns during the busy season. It is hard work, mostly lifting heavy sacks and making sure the grains are coming out right without too much breakage. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just doing the job we know.
