We've been here at Zero Mile for a while now. It's a busy spot on the main road. Most days you'll find us working on old motors or fixing up refrigerators that stopped cooling. People come by when their stuff breaks. We try to keep things running. It’s a dusty workshop, honestly. Tools are everywhere. My cousin helps out when he can. We have some spare parts in the back room but it's hard to find them sometimes. It’s not a fancy showroom. We just sit on plastic chairs and drink tea while waiting for the next job. If you walk past the main road, you'll see the sign for Sangam Motor And Refrigerators. It’s a bit faded. We handle all kinds of small motor repairs. It gets hot in the afternoons but the shop stays open until late evening. Some people bring their fridge parts from far away. We do what we can. Sometimes the parts take a week to arrive. We don't have a website or anything. It's just this shop. If the motor is burnt, we tell you straight. No point lying about it. It’s a basic life here. We’ve seen the road change over the years. More traffic now. But the work stays the same. Just grease and cooling gas. We keep a logbook for the repairs but it's mostly in our heads. The floor is stained with oil. That's just how a workshop looks. We talk to the neighbors. It’s a small community.
