Sri Venkateshwara Traders

We have been set up here at 439 Senthamangalam Road for quite a long time now. The shop is right on the edge of the road in Nemili, so we see everyone passing by throughout the day. Every morning starts about the same, with someone unlocking the heavy front shutters and sweeping the grit off the front step before the sun gets too high. It gets really dusty around this part of town because of all the heavy trucks moving through to the neighboring villages. Inside, it is mostly just rows of items we keep for the local people who live nearby. The main desk is an old wooden thing that is always covered in loose papers and pens that only work half the time. My brother and I usually take care of everything ourselves. When a delivery comes in early, we have to move fast to clear a path in the storage area. It is not a very large building, but it serves its purpose for our daily work. We end up drinking a lot of tea while we wait for the afternoon heat to settle down a bit. Most people who walk in are from the immediate area, so we know most of their names by now. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, and we just sit outside on the old chairs and chat with the guys from the next shop over. It is a plain way to spend the day, but it keeps us busy.
