We are over in Katargam, Surat. J M Mehta Co has been a part of this area for a while now. Katargam is a busy place, known for all the diamond and textile work, and we fit right into the local scene. Our office is a simple one, nothing too fancy. We don't spend a lot on a polished look when the actual work is what matters to us. We mostly deal with trading or supply, depending on what our customers are looking for that week. It’s a lot of talking to people and keeping track of stocks. The streets around here are always crowded, which gives the place a lot of energy. We’ve got a small team, and we’ve all grown up or lived in Surat for a long time. We know the way things work around here. We don't use a lot of fancy business talk. We just tell you what we have and what we can do. It’s a very direct way of working. Sometimes the days are long, especially when there’s a lot of movement in the market. But we enjoy it. Being in Katargam means we’re right where the action is. We’ve built up a good number of contacts over the years just by being honest and showing up every day. It’s a basic business, run by people who care about their work. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade as best as we can, day in and day out.
