Welspun Vidya Mandir

Welspun Vidya Mandir is located out at Survey No 984/P-208 in Anjar. If you know this part of Kutch, you know it can get quite dry and windy. The school sits on a decent bit of land. We have been working here for years now, mostly just keeping the routine going for the families around the area. It is a bit out of the main town, so it feels a little more peaceful, though the trucks on the nearby roads make some noise. The classrooms are basic but they do the job. We have windows that let in the light, which is nice in the winter. During the summer, we just try to keep the air moving. The staff here are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. We don't really do anything flashy. It's about opening the books and getting the work done on the blackboard. You’ll see the kids playing in the dirt during recess, and that’s just fine. We have some trees planted along the boundary, but they grow slow in this soil. Parents come by on their motorbikes to pick up their kids in the afternoon. It is an honest place to be. We don't spend much time on decorations or big events unless it's necessary. It’s just a school in Anjar where the days follow a steady pattern. We appreciate the quiet moments before the first bell rings and the gates open for the day.
