Sheth D V High School

Sheth D V High School has its roots deep in the town of Anjar. The school building itself is a landmark for many people in Kutch. After everything the town has been through over the years, the school still stands as a place where the local kids come to get their education. It’s a large, older style building with high ceilings and thick walls that help keep the heat out during the Kutch summers. The courtyard is where everything happens, from the morning assembly to the local sports matches. We have a lot of history here, and you can see it in the old photos hanging in the office and the names carved into the wooden desks. Most of our staff grew up in Anjar themselves, so there’s a real connection to the community. We don't have a lot of money for fancy upgrades, so we fix things as they break and keep the place running as best as we can. The library has some very old books that the students still use, and we try to keep the computer room going even when the power fluctuates. It’s a place of habit and hard work. Parents come by to talk about their kids’ futures, and we sit with them over tea in the dusty office to figure things out. It’s just how things are done here in Anjar.
