Larsen & Toubro Limited

Amalapada in Angul is a real industrial hub. You can feel it as soon as you enter the area. Our office is located at 5th Lane, right near the Monnet Ispat office. It’s the base for Larsen & Toubro Limited in this part of Orissa. Because of all the heavy industry, there are always trucks moving and a fair amount of dust in the air. We spend a lot of time just keeping the office clean. Sunil D. Sirasat is here, working with P. Pradhan, and we handle all the local coordination from this spot. It’s not a fancy setup at all. It’s purely practical. We have what we need to get the job done and nothing more. The heat in Angul can be quite intense, so we rely heavily on the air conditioning to stay productive. Our days are mostly filled with meetings and checking on various site progress reports. It’s a hardworking environment and we don't really have much time for idling. Most of us have been in this line of work for a long time, so we are used to the pace. We grab lunch whenever we can find a quiet moment. The focus is always on the tasks at hand. It’s a tough, no-nonsense kind of place, but that’s what the work requires. We just keep moving forward with the daily requirements and try to stay on top of the paperwork that comes through.
