Kashmir Valley Dry Fruits Sadiwara (Opc) Private Limited

We are based in Sadiwara, which is a small village in the Dooru area of Anantnag. Our business goes by the name Kashmir Valley Dry Fruits Sadiwara (Opc) Private Limited. It is a long name for a simple business, but we just think of ourselves as the local people who handle the nuts and fruits from the valley. Our address is closely tied to the memory of the late Mohd. Akbar Ganai, who was a well-known figure in this community. We work with walnuts, almonds, and all the other dried goods that this part of Kashmir is so famous for. The work we do is very seasonal. When the harvest time comes around, everyone here is busy from the early morning until late at night. We spend a lot of our time sitting together and sorting through the nuts by hand. It is a slow process, but it is the only way to be sure that everything looks right before it goes out. The air here in Sadiwara is usually very crisp and cool, which really helps in keeping the produce fresh. We do not use many fancy machines for our work. A lot of what we do is just manual labor and careful packing. We like being based in Dooru because it is far away from the noise and the rush of the big cities. People come to find us because they know exactly where we are located. It is more of a family-style operation than a big company.
