India Kesar King

We are based over at 33, Namlabal. It is a place most people around here know if they are looking for kesar. My father started this and now we just keep it going. The building isn't anything fancy, just a workspace where we sort through the saffron threads. You can smell it as soon as you walk in the door. Namlabal is a quiet part of town but we stay busy enough. Some days the weather makes it hard to get things moving, especially in the winter when the snow piles up outside 33. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know what to look for. It takes a lot of patience to sit there and pick through the flowers. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. People come by and sit for tea while we talk about the harvest. It is just the way things work here. We don't spend much time on computers or fancy letters. Most of our work is done by hand. The kesar comes in from the fields and we get to work. It’s a simple life really. We just try to get the orders out to whoever needs them. Sometimes the trucks are late but we manage. If you are ever passing through Namlabal, you will see the sign. It’s not a big sign, but it’s there at 33. We are usually inside working and sorting through the harvest to get things ready for the jars.
