Diamond Electric Works

D3 in the industrial estate is where you will find us working. Diamond Electric Works has been in this particular unit for quite a long time. It’s a workshop, so expect to see wires, motors, and old tools all over the place. It isn't a place for someone wearing a suit and tie. The floor is solid concrete and has some dark stains from years of hard work. We fix things and put electrical parts together. The lighting inside comes from those long fluorescent tubes that flicker a bit when you first turn them on in the morning. We have a big wooden workbench that has seen a lot of use over the decades. Outside, there are usually some metal parts waiting to be picked up or moved by the truck. The industrial estate is a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who really know how to handle the electrical side of things. It gets quite loud when we are testing a motor or a machine. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room for guests. People just come to the door and shout hello if we don't see them right away. It’s honest work and we stay very busy most weeks. It’s just a standard unit in a row, but it’s our space.
