Larsen&Toubro Ltd.

Our spot is located within the Ultratech Cement premises over in Bhogasamudram. Being out here in the Anantapur district means we are right in the middle of the action. It is hot most of the year, and there is always a bit of cement dust in the air, but you get used to it after a week or two. We are part of the ECC Division of Larsen & Toubro, but here, it feels more like a field camp. Most of the day is spent checking on materials or talking to the guys on the site. Tadipatri is the nearest town, so that’s where most of us head if we need something specific that isn't on-site. The office itself is functional and a bit cramped with all the maps and schedules pinned to the walls. We don't have fancy furniture or a coffee machine that does anything special. We just have a kettle and some basic desks. It is loud because of the machinery nearby, but that is the sound of things getting built. We focus on the daily logs and making sure the supplies are moving according to the plan. It’s hard work, and the sun can be brutal, but there is a sense of accomplishment when a section of the project gets finished. We aren't here to look important; we are here to get the construction work moving forward.
