Chemist

Our shop is right near the Sai Baba temple in Ymr Colony, which is in Proddatur. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty busy when there are festivals or special prayers at the temple. We are at 3/886-1 and it’s a small place but we keep it well-stocked with whatever medicines people are looking for. Being a chemist in Kadapa district means we see a lot of the same faces every week. People stop by after visiting the temple or on their way home from work. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a counter and shelves full of boxes. Sometimes the heat in Andhra gets a bit much, so we keep the fan going all day long. We try to help everyone who walks through the door as best as we can. It’s mostly just us standing behind the counter and talking to the locals about what they need. We’ve been in this colony for a while now and everyone knows us. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns. It’s quiet in the mornings before the sun gets too high. We spend time checking the expiry dates and making sure the inventory is correct. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We like being part of this neighborhood and helping out where we can.
