Jay Maharaj Engineering Works

Jay Maharaj Engineering Works is tucked away at Plot No-1909/1 in Phase-4 of the Gidc Estate. It’s a bit of a drive to get back here, but once you arrive, you’ll see we stay pretty occupied. We don’t really go in for the corporate style of doing things. Our office is just a small corner with a desk that’s usually piled with papers and spare parts. We spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. The machines at 1909/1 have been with us for a while, and we know their quirks. It’s a noisy environment, but there’s a kind of music to it if you listen long enough. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure the parts we turn out are right. Dealing with the heat in the Gidc Estate is part of the daily struggle, but we have our fans and our cold water, so we get by. We don't use much marketing speak because we don't really see the point. If someone needs engineering work done, they know our name and they know where the plot is. We keep our heads down and stay focused on the tasks. It’s a simple life, really. Just some guys working with metal and making sure the day's work is finished before we lock up the gate for the night and head home.
