Our shop is located at Number 1 in Anand, right across the street from the Anand Arts College. Because of where we are, we see a lot of students hanging around outside between their classes. The office is pretty small and straightforward. We handle a lot of money transfers and currency stuff, so we have to stay focused on the numbers. It’s not a place with lounge chairs or fancy lights. We have a counter, some computers, and a couple of stools for customers. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually keep the blinds pulled halfway down to keep it cool. It’s a busy little corner of Anand, and there’s always someone coming in to send money home or change some notes. We’ve got a routine down where we check the rates first thing in the morning and then just get to work. The college kids are always making noise across the street, which gives the place a bit of energy. I guess we don’t do much in the way of big promotions; people just find us because they need to get their financial stuff sorted and we are right here on the main road. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where we just do our jobs and then go home at the end of the day. It is nothing special, but it works for us and the local community.
