Shri Krishna General Store And Dairy

Over in Amritsar, specifically in Fairland Colony on Fgc Road, we run Shri Krishna General Store And Dairy. We are located right near the bank, so there’s usually people walking past our door all day long. Being a dairy as well as a general store means our mornings are very different from a regular shop. We have to be up and ready before the sun is even fully out to receive the milk supplies. People in Fairland Colony come in early for their fresh milk, curd, and butter. It’s a fast-paced hour or two, and the floor often gets a bit wet from the crates. Once the morning milk rush is over, we settle into the usual routine of a general store. We have rows of lentils, spices, and household cleaners. The shop isn’t very large, and it can feel a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. Fgc Road can be quite busy, and the sound of horns is just part of the background here. We’ve got a small fridge for the dairy items that hums loudly all day. I usually spend the quiet times checking the expiry dates on the bread and snacks. We don't have any big slogans or fancy uniforms. It’s just us, working at the shop near the bank, making sure there’s enough milk and supplies for the neighborhood.
