Shawl Club

Shawl Club is situated in the J & K Building right in the heart of Shastri Market. If you’ve ever been to Shastri Market, you know it is a very crowded and lively place. There are shops everywhere and people are always bargaining or moving goods. Being in the J & K Building means we are right in the thick of it. Our space is tucked away inside, so it’s a bit quieter than the street outside, but you can still hear the noise of the market all day. We have stacks and stacks of shawls everywhere. It’s not a fancy showroom with mannequins and bright lights. It’s more like a warehouse where we also do our business. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and we have to use a ladder to get to the stuff at the top. It can be a bit dusty, and the aisles are narrow because we try to fit in as much stock as possible. We don't have a lot of room for a big office, so our desk is just in a corner near the entrance. We spend our time checking the stock and talking to people who come by. The building itself is old, with narrow stairs and hallways that feel a bit like a maze. It has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn out. We like being in the market because it feels like the center of everything, and we just keep our heads down and work.
