Colors Boutique

Colors Boutique is right across from the Co-Operative Bank in Verka. It's a convenient spot because people often stop in after they finish their banking. The shop is small but we fit a lot into it. We have racks of clothes and shelves for the accessories. It’s mostly just me and one other person here most days. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People just walk in because they saw something in the window or they live in the neighborhood. Verka is a nice place, everyone kind of knows everyone else. We spend time tidying up the hangers and folding things that customers have looked at. The sunlight comes in through the front glass in the morning, which makes the colors of the fabric look bright. We have a small changing room in the back that we built ourselves. It’s not a fancy mall store, just a local boutique. Sometimes we sit out front on a stool when it’s quiet and watch the cars go by on the main road. It’s a good way to spend the day. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a dress doesn't look right on someone, we tell them. It’s better that way. We just enjoy being part of the local community and seeing familiar faces every week. People know us as the place opposite the bank, and that's enough for us to keep going.
