If you are looking for Gupta Surgical Enterprises, you just have to head over to the area opposite the bus stand in Sharifpura. We are right there in Rani Bazar, which is always a busy spot with people coming and going from the buses. The shop stays quite noisy because of the traffic, but we don’t mind it much. We deal with all sorts of surgical items like bandages, hospital equipment, and small tools that doctors need for their clinics. The shelves are packed with white boxes and stainless steel items. It’s a family-style environment here, where we know most of the regular customers by their first names. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something very specific that we have to dig around for in the back room. The back room is a bit of a mess, honestly, but we know where the important stuff is. We’ve been in this spot for years, watching the shops around us change while we stay pretty much the same. Working in Rani Bazar means you see a lot of different people every day. We usually have tea delivered from the stall nearby around four in the afternoon. It’s a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We just focus on keeping the supplies stocked so that when a local hospital calls, we have what they need ready to go. It’s just us doing our daily work in Sharifpura.
