Durga Gas Agency

You can find us at Plot No 40 in the Rambagh Bazar. Durga Gas Agency is basically a busy hub where we manage the gas cylinders for the local families and shops. Rambagh Bazar is a crowded place, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their shopping. There’s always a bit of a scramble to get the delivery trucks in and out because the lanes are narrow and full of cycles and scooters. Our office is just a small room with some desks and a lot of logbooks. We spend most of the day answering the phone and writing down addresses for refills. It’s a lot of logistics, trying to make sure no one runs out of gas while they’re cooking dinner. The sound of metal cylinders clanging against each other is something we hear all day long. It becomes like background music after a while. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just know that people need their gas to eat, so we try to get it to them as fast as we can. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is bad or a truck gets delayed. But we’ve been in Rambagh Bazar for a long time, and we know the shortcuts through the streets. We don't do anything special, just the basic work of keeping the kitchen fires burning for the people around here. It’s just us doing our job.
