Out here in Kathu Nangal, things move a bit slower than in Amritsar city. My place is right in the heart of the village. It’s a small, simple setup where I spend most of my days. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so most people who stop by are actually neighbors or friends. It’s not a formal office with a secretary or a waiting room system. People just come in and sit on the bench until it’s their turn. Sometimes we sit and talk about the crops or the weather before getting down to business. It’s a very local way of doing things. The building is just a plain brick structure that's seen a lot of years. I keep it clean, but it's definitely not a modern medical facility. We don't have big signs or bright lights outside. People know where I am. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely during the quiet hours, but then someone always pops in for a chat or some help. Life in Kathu Nangal is basic and honest, and that’s how I run things here. I don't see any reason to change it after all this time. If someone is looking for me, they usually find me near the main cluster of shops. It’s been my home and my work for years now. People seem to appreciate that we are still here, doing things the old-fashioned way.
