You can find us in Kunkavav, which is a small place in the Amreli district. We have been here for a long time, serving the local families who live around this part of Gujarat. The school building is pretty simple, with sturdy walls and classrooms that get a nice breeze when the windows are open. Most of our day is spent making sure the students are following their schedules. We have a playground that gets a lot of use during the afternoon break. It’s not very green, mostly just flat ground, but the kids don't seem to mind. Working in Kunkavav is quiet compared to the bigger cities. We know the shopkeepers and the farmers whose children come to study here. Every morning, the staff arrives and we sweep out the rooms before the first bell. It is honest work and we like being part of the village life. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just carry on with the windows open for light. We keep our records in big ledgers in the main office. There is always some paperwork to do or a desk that needs fixing. We aren't a big institution with lots of money, just a local spot where people send their children. It stays busy from Monday to Saturday, and then everything goes quiet on Sundays.
