Jay Khodiyar Cotton

Our place is out on the Babra Vasavad Road in Babra, which is part of the Amreli district. If you know Gujarat, you know how important cotton is around here. Jay Khodiyar Cotton is right in the middle of all that. We see a lot of tractors and trucks coming in from the nearby fields, especially when the harvest is in full swing. The road can get pretty dusty with all the transport, and our clothes usually end up covered in white lint by the end of the shift. It’s a rural kind of life, much different from the big cities. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the cotton and moving bales around the storage area. The sun out here in Amreli is no joke, so we usually take a long break in the middle of the day when it’s too hot to be moving much. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to handle the cotton properly and keep things moving for everyone involved. Most of the people we deal with are local farmers or traders who have been on this road for decades. It’s a simple business built on hard work and the rhythm of the seasons. There is always a lot of chatter and tea drinking when the farmers come by to drop off their loads and talk about the weather.
