Morangi Primary School

In a small place like Morangi in Amreli, everyone knows where the primary school is. It’s a quiet village, mostly, until the kids arrive in the morning. Being a primary school, we deal with the younger ones who have a lot of energy. The building is simple, just a few rooms and a bit of space for them to run around outside. We don’t have fancy playgrounds, but the kids find ways to play with whatever is around. The air is fresh out here, away from the big city noise. We spend a lot of our time teaching the basics, like reading and writing, and trying to keep the children focused. It’s a challenge sometimes because they’d rather be outside. The parents are mostly farmers or local workers, so they appreciate having a place nearby for their children to learn. We often have to fix small things around the school ourselves, like a broken door handle or a loose tile. It’s just how things are in a rural area. We don’t have a huge staff, so everyone chips in with everything. If the floor needs cleaning or a tree needs watering, whoever is free does it. It’s a very close-knit environment. We see the kids grow up from being tiny toddlers to getting ready for high school. It’s a humble life here in Amreli, but it’s an important one for the families in Morangi.
