Our place is tucked away in Alaspurkar Market on Ambadevi Road. If you live in Amravati, you know this part of town gets really crowded, especially during the festival seasons because of the temple nearby. The market itself is an old-school kind of place. It’s not like those new malls they are building everywhere now. Here, everyone knows everyone, and there’s always someone drinking tea or chatting in the hallways. My office is basically just a room with some chairs and my desk. I’ve lived in this city my whole life, so I’m used to the pace here. Some days are very slow, and I just sit and look out at the street, while other days are so busy I don't even have time to eat lunch until four in the afternoon. The building is a bit older, so it has that specific smell of old paper and concrete. It’s practical, though. Everything I need is within walking distance. If I need a stamp or some stationery, I just step out and it’s right there. People stop by when they’re already out doing their shopping in the market. It’s a convenient spot for that. I don’t think I’d want to move to a fancy new glass building. This feels more like home. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just part of being in the heart of the city. It is a simple life here.
