Paul Fertilizer

Paul Fertilizer is located at B-14 in the M.I.D.C. Area. This part of the industrial estate is always full of the smell of chemicals and earth, which is just part of the job when you work with fertilizers. Our unit is a basic brick and mortar structure that has seen better days, but it keeps the rain off the stock. We spend a lot of time moving heavy sacks around, so everyone here has pretty strong backs. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s necessary for the farmers in the region who depend on what we produce. We have a small table out front where we sit and talk to the truck drivers while they wait for their loads to be finished. The sun beats down on the open yard, and we usually have to wear hats if we’re outside for more than ten minutes. There isn't much in the way of decoration in the office, just some old calendars and a map of the district pinned to the wall. We keep the inventory records in big ledger books because that’s how we’ve always done it. Sometimes the neighbors from the engineering unit next door come over to share a smoke or complain about the rising cost of electricity. It’s a tight-knit group in this section of M.I.D.C., and we all look out for each other. We just focus on getting the right mix out the door.
