A Classes

We are over in Gali No 1 in Amravati. People here just know us as A Classes. It’s a basic place, really. We started this because we saw a lot of kids in the neighborhood just wandering around after school with nowhere to go for their studies. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in the alley. Inside, we’ve got some wooden benches and a few fans that hum a bit too loud when it’s hot. We keep the lights on until late evening because that’s when most of the older students can make it. It’s not a polished corporate office. There is always a bit of dust from the chalk and the floor usually needs a good sweep by the end of the day. We don't have a big reception area or anyone answering phones. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk in and wait for a break in the lesson. We’ve been here for several years now and have seen many faces come and go. Some of the kids who started with us are now working jobs in the city. Gali No 1 is home for us. We don’t really do any big marketing. Most people find us because their neighbor’s kid came here and liked it. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s how we like to run the place. We just focus on the books and getting the work done every day.
