Alawalpur is where we all live and work, so it made sense to set up here. We got together because farming on your own in this part of the country is getting harder every year. By being a producer company, we can help each other with tools and advice when things get tough. Our focus is on organic growing. We don't like using those heavy sprays on the food we eat and sell. It’s better for the ground too in the long run. The house where we meet is a busy spot. There are always people coming in and out, talking about the next harvest or the price of supplies. We keep things very basic. No one here wears a suit. We are usually in our work clothes because there’s always something that needs fixing or planting. It’s a local effort, through and through. We know every field and every family around here. Sometimes we have meetings that go on for hours just because everyone wants to have their say. That’s just how we do things in Alawalpur. We are proud of being from this area and we want to keep the land healthy for the kids who will take over later. We don't need fancy things to get the job done.
